Uzbekistan Ministry of Public Health, planning to build a national cancer center in Tashkent, visited Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital(CNUHH) to learn know-how on establishing and operating a state cancer hospital.
CNUHH said that the delegation of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Public Health, led by Minister Khadjibaev Abdukhakim, visited Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital and held a meeting with General Director Shin Myung-Geun on the third.
Uzbekistan is planning to build a national cancer hospital in Tashkent by introducing medical technology from advanced countries and the delegation led by Minister Khadjibaev is visiting Korea from last 31st of May to the 4th of June and touring local medical institutions.
The delegation consists of 10 persons including Vice Ministers of Public Health Sabirov Ulugbek and Azizov Abdulla, Vice Minister of Construction Babaev Nasrulla, Director of Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology Tillyashaykhov Mirzagaleb as well as Minister Khadjibaev.
General Director Shin and the delegation shared experiences accumulated over the past 17 years of CNUHH and exchanged opinions on the construction of a national cancer center in Tashkent. In particular, Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital, Chonnam National University Hospital, and the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a third-part MOU on establishing cooperative relationships such as medical education and treatment, and exchange of biomedical research personnel.
