The mission of the Hematology Division is to provide excellent clinical care, teaching, and research in hematology. We treat the full array of benign blood disorders, hematologic malignancies, and other bone marrow diseases. Our physicians have competence in all areas of hematology, with particularly well-recognized depth and experience in benign and malignant diseases affecting blood such as hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myeloproliferative neoplasms etc.), bone marrow failure syndrome (aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome etc.) and bleeding disorders. In addition, our physicians have initiated and participated in a number of clinical trials of newer types of therapy for many of these disorders. Also, our clinicians and coordinators have extensive experience in hematopoietic stem cell transplants for various hematologic diseases. Abundant clinical experiences and scientific studies add to the increasing survival rates of patients suffering from the hematologic diseases.
