Occupational and environmental medicine includes evaluation and diagnosis of occupational related disease, evaluation and diagnosis of environmental related disease, medical and occupational screening, preplacement evaluation, medical surveillance, industrial hygiene evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of environmental & occupational condition, health education, consultation to labor & industry, ergonomic evaluation of workplace and research & application & consultation of toxicology. The disease which we are researching and treating is divided into two, occupational disease and environmental disease. Occupational disease includes chemical toxicity, heavy metal exposure, solvent toxicity, pesticide toxicity, occupational respiratory disease, occupational skin disease, occupational neurologic disorder, work-related musculoskeletal disorder, noise-induced hearing loss, VDT syndrome, disease of health care worker, agriculture-related disorder and so on. Environmental disease includes multiple chemical sensitivity, chemical exposure (pesticide exposure, agent orange exposure, lead poisoning), ground water concern, sick building syndrome, health effect of EMF and so on. The analytic equipments that we have had are Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, Gas Chromatography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography and so forth.
