Inpatient Guidelines
- Accompanying Guardian
-
- One guardian should be present with patient at all times during hospitalization.
- Only those with admission passes (electronic tag) are admitted, and the pass can be reissued at department of patients’ affair in case of loss.
- Bedding(blanket, pillow) is offer to patient only.
- Visiting Hours
-
- Weekdays : 18:00~20:00
- Weekends / Holidays : 10:00~12:00, 18:00~20:00
- Visitors should write their names in the visitor’s book kept in each patient’s bedside.
- Infection Prevention
-
- Wash hands before / after access to hospital building and comply with coughing etiquette.
- To protect patients, limit visit if the following applies:
- ①Have cold / flu or respiratory infection
- ②Have skin lesions
- ③Have acute infection (diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, etc.)
- ④Have recent contact with person with infectious or contagious disease
- ⑤Have to be cautious or need self-protection (if pregnant, over 70 years of age, under 12 years of age, have weak immune system)
- ⑥Group visits such as close relatives, gathering, religious organizations, etc.
- Prohibited articles : flowers, plants, pets, outside food

- No-smoking Policy

The hospital has a stringent no-smoking policy. Please use the designated smoking booths that are located outside.
- Correct Patient Identification

- For safe and accurate medical treatment, patient name and registration number is checked every treatment.
- ①When asked to tell patient name, patient should reply with “I am ○○○.” and show patient’s ID wristband.
- ②For verifying patient’s name and registration number, please wear patient’s ID wristband until discharge.

- Preventing Falls

- Be sure to raise bed rails not to fall from the bed.
- Please push the nurse call button when assistance is needed.
- Emergency Call

In case of emergency, patient rooms, shower booms, and bathrooms have been installed with an emergency call button. Pressing the button will connect you directly to the nurses station and please state your emergency.
- Expressing Pain
-
If any pain, please notify the assigned nurse or doctor and express the degree, location, characteristics, and frequency of your pain.
- Fire Prevention & Evacuation

- In the hospital use of heating devices (electric pot, electric pad, etc.) or portable gas stoves strictly prohibited.
- Report to nurse station or hospital staffs immediately upon discovery of fire.
- Fire extinguisher is installed in front of each nurse station and both ends of hallway (equipped in VIP and 6 person rooms plus each ward).
- In case of emergency evacuation, please follow staff instructions and give full cooperation. (Refer to Emergency Evacuation Plan inside hospital room.)
- Theft Prevention

Cash or valuables are at risk of loss, so please possess them with you and send them to your home.
(Available to deposit your hospital charges beforehand at patient affairs department)
- Medical Waste
-
Please throw used medical wastes (such as cotton alcohol pads, bloody gauze, syringe, etc) into medical waste container next to hospital room entrance in order not to be mixed with other trash.
- Convenient Facilities
-
- There is public restroom, shower room, mini-kitchen (equipped with microwave over, hot-cold water purifier), and lounge in each ward.
- Shower room is available from 6 AM to 8 PM.
- Room phones are incoming calls only.
- Free wifi service is available in the hospital.
- Cellphone charger and fax service is available at information desk (1st floor) and convenience store and cafeteria is located on B1 floor.
- Religious rooms (Buddhism, Christianity, Catholicism) are located on B1 floor.
- Inpatients and guardians are advised to use parking lot 4 & 5 located on the left side of hospital building.
- Document Application

- Diagnosis · Referral Letter : Make request to assigned nurse or doctor 2~3 days before discharge.
- Please make medical records request to assigned nurse.
[ *Required documents Patient : I.D card, Guardian : patient and guardian I.D cards, certificate of family relationship, consent form to release medical records ] - Confirmation of Treatment, detailed statement of medical charges, and receipts are issued at patients affair department, if necessary.

- Cooperation

- Violence or threat against healthcare providers, damage to property, obstruction to medical practice, etc. will be severely punished according to the relevant law.
(Revised Medical Law Article 12 Section 3, Emergency Medical Service Act Article 12) - We kindly request your cooperation in leaving the hospital room before 11 am for patient’s rapid hospitalization and treatment.
- Violence or threat against healthcare providers, damage to property, obstruction to medical practice, etc. will be severely punished according to the relevant law.
- Others

- Please refer to the bulletin board for the Cancer Center integrated education program for patients and guardians (caregivers).
- Patient must always be accompanied by guardian when going outside for exercise or walk. Please make sure to take phone in case patient needs to be reached.
- We request your cooperation on not going outside of the hospital with hospital gown on.
- Going out is possible under permission from the assigned doctor after filling out the Patient Leave of Absence Agreement.
- The hospital is not responsible for any unfortunate accidents that may occur during the absence without leave and discharge can be taken action.
